Born in Buenos Aires and Publicist by profession, Monica travelled at age 22 to Europe for the first time on the invite of her family. This was her first contact with the art world and changed her life forever. Two years later, she moved to Barcelona.
She graduated as a designer in Barcelona and, later, immersed herself in the universe of plastic art and sculpture. Interested in photography, she travelled and discovered new cultures and spent some time in London. Afterwards she returned to her favourite areas of Barcelona, Barrio Born, where she still lives to this day.
Monica works with mixed techniques, incorporating different materials in her compositions: acrylic paint, marble powder, latex amongst others. Innovative in style, her works range from the figurative to the purely abstract. Her expressive brushstrokes combat the adverse stimuli and present her art as her particular way of forging a tenacious and positive behavior in the face of the circumstances presented to her. Her art strengthens and liberates her.
Monica currently works on commission and exhibits her permanent collection in the gallery "The Painting Route BCN", in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona.
